Focus and Scope

Four Winds Journal is an online publication supporting local and global positive change.  Orenda Healing International publishes the Journal twice a year (Spring and Fall) and each issue is assigned a particular theme.  All submissions must be directly related to the theme of an issue.  Themes might include the effects on humans and non-human others of climate change, current local and global developments, various healing practices (i.e., the arts in healing, indigenous healing practices, notable changes in alternative or complementary medicine, energy healing, spiritual healing, etc.),  and more.

Peer Review Process

Submissions are reviewed by the editorial team and are selected on the basis of relevance to the focus of the journal and the theme of the issue. Solid research and academic integrity are expected in successful submissions for scholarly pieces. Rich and relevant content is sought in creative works including image-based work, poetry and fiction.

 

Open Access Policy

This journal provides immediate open access to its content on the principle that making research freely available to the public supports a greater global exchange of knowledge.
